This is the 51st State Card Game that’s produced by Portal Games.
In the 51st State, the world as you know it no longer exists. The government has fallen. There is no army. The United States has collapsed. It’s a cheery place, laugh!
Unfortunately for you, this is the era you live in, so you’ve got to do something. Players take control of one of four factions that are vying for control of the shattered ruins of what’s left of the United States.
You’ll try and establish a new order by control, supplies, stockpiles, conquest, trade, and expansion. Ultimately, you’ll be aiming for stability. Should be done rather quickly, right?
Laugh, not quite. You’re not the only faction that thinks they’ve got the right foundation for a new society. And something tells you that maybe these other factions don’t play nicely with others.
51st State is a game that has had a lot said about it. The artwork is fantastic, it’s got innovative gameplay that is unique to it, and it was designed by legendary game designer Ignacy Trzewiczek. All you really need to know is that it’s a great play and certainly interesting.
Players will need strategic planning to win this game. Short term growth? Long term growth? Brute force? Peaceful negotiation? Annex? Sacrifice? Difficult decisions face players almost constantly.
51st State is a really unique and neat game to have in the game stash.
